Test Prep

Though the test administrators will argue that it’s not possible to increase your score dramatically through test preparation, test-takers will tell you otherwise. Even if you do nothing more than ease your anxiety through a few hours of test prep, that increased confidence and relaxation can make a worthwhile difference in your score.

There are several different options for preparing for entrance exams. Some tests, such as the MCAT, require years of specialized course work. Others, such as the GRE, can be prepared for in a few weeks or months. If you’re the “do it yourself” type, you can order old tests from some of the test administrators or purchase study guides from your local bookstore.

If you need the structure of an actual class, several organizations are waiting to assist you. Check out Kaplan, Bobrow, and test.com. Some of these sites even provide online testing. Though somewhat costly, think of these courses as a financial investment in your future.
